CHIVES
This perennial herb plant is a close relative to garlic, shallots and leeks. It is best harvested with scissors and can be used as a garnish in soups, salads, and potato dishes. Add chives to your dish right before serving, as they don’t take well to over cooking. Chives are easy to freeze and the flowers are also edible.
Chive plants offer a good source of potassium, iron and calcium.
However the sage plant is toxic to dogs and cats.
